Christmas Break

All Boone County Schools will be CLOSED for Christmas Break through January 4th.  School reusmes Monday January 5th.  Happy Holidays from the staff and students of the Boone County Schools!

District ATC Reaches Out To Master Provisions

Students from the Boone County Area Technology Center recently fabricated and installed customized protective railings for the outside walls of a large cold storage/freezer unit at Master Provisions. The railings meet OSHA standards and protect the unit from accidental damage by fork lifts or other warehouse equipment.  Jacob Warnick, a senior at Connor High School and Wyatt Dupree, a senior at Ryle High School were the team leaders for the project. They are students in the welding class taught by Matthew Clark. On December 16, the three were at Master Provisions to install the railings, which completed the project.

District STEM Talents on Display at the FLL Regional

It was a great weekend for The Boone County Schools at the First Lego League Robotics and Engineering Regional Championships!  6 teams from the Boone County Schools advanced on to the State Tournament.  They are:  Gray Middle School Jr. Brainy Bots (Regional Champions), Gray Middle School Tech Team (Regional Runners-Up), New Haven Elementary We've Got The Minds (Regional 3rd Place), Mann Elementary Master Builders (Innovation Award), Camp Ernst Trailblazers (Research Project Award), and the Longbranch Elementary APPS (Robot Design Award).  In all teams from the Boone County Schools won 12 of the 21 awards.  Click on the article title to see a complete list of winners. 

Boone County Schools...Distinguished Again!

The Boone County Schools, the third largest school district in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, is celebrating the results of the Kentucky Performance Rating for Educational Progress or K-PREP administered in the spring of this year and released today by the Kentucky Department of Education. The results show that Boone County Schools continue to be classified as a Distinguished district and in the top 10% of all districts in the Commonwealth.
